Introduction to Food Extrusion lecture at HS Ansbach
What kind of food products are extruded? How can the operator alter the extrusion process? How can the product quality be influenced by the process?
These and other important questions related to food extruders were discussed during a lecture at the Applied university Ansbach in Southern Germany. Together with its agent Kastenmüller, Brabender introduced a group of international students to the food extrusion technology in two lectures.
Brabender offers lab-scale food extruders for experimental trials of potential products with a wide range of shapes, colours and flavours. The R&D extruders such as the single-screw Stand-Alone Extruder KE 19 or the twin-screw Lab-Compounder KETSE 20/40 are designed to give the maximum flexibility for the operator to develop new products and to improve existing recipes.
