Trade fair preview 31.01.2023
Brabender presents its products at Plastindia

Plastindia is an international trade fair for the plastics industry, where national and international exhibitors present their new products and technologies. It is considered the leading trade fair in India for the industry. Also Brabender GmbH & Co. KG will be exhibiting its product solutions for quality testing and the development of sustainable plastic and rubber products on a laboratory and pilot plant scale at booth 4H-FP-E-11 from February 1 to 5 in New Delhi. Brabender’s equipment portfolio includes various compact extruders, devices for special measuring applications and torque rheometers with measuring kneader and extruder attachments. At the booth itself, the company will demonstrate its modular drive unit, the MetaStation 4E with measuring kneader attachment.
The MetaStation 4E is suitable as a drive for Brabender measuring kneaders in various sizes with different chamber volumes and for operating the larger Brabender internal mixers. The MetaStation 4E does not require a docking station. In addition, single-screw extruders, the conical twin-screw extruder and the new B-TSE-A 12/36 Mini-Compounder can also be operated with the MetaStation 4E.
India as one of the most important markets
The Plastindia show is very important for Brabender: “We have many Indian customers in the plastics processing sector and the Indian market is one of the most important markets for us in Asia. The rubber industry is also very strong there”, explains Michael Stanko, Business Development Manager at Brabender. The aim of participating in the trade fair is not only to acquire new customers but also to establish personal contact with customers and inform them about the latest product developments: Brabender recently introduced the new B-TSE-S 30/40 Big Compounder electrically heated twin-screw extruder. The unit is the smallest and most space-saving compounding system in its category on the market and is suitable for developing formulations and small-scale production of various extrudates made of plastics, rubber, food and feed, and many other extrudable materials. The extruder has also been successfully tested for the extrusion of anode and cathode materials on a conductive film. Other possible applications include material development, quality control, recycling developments and analysis of material behavior during a process in research facilities and industry.
The TwinLab-C 20/40 twin-screw extruder with integrated drive unit is also suitable for material developments and was designed for testing and small-scale production. Extensive configuration options allow a wide variety of usable materials.
