Brabender introduces Dr Matthias Mayser and Christian Witt 24.02.2022
New laboratory manager and service manager at Brabender
At the beginning of the year, Brabender GmbH & Co. KG filled two new positions: Dr Matthias Mayser (second person from the left in the picture) has been Head of Application Lab Food and Feed at Brabender since February and Christian Witt (first person from the left in the picture) started as Service Manager in January.
Mayser studied biology as well as mechanical engineering and, after completing his doctorate, worked in the laboratory of Zwilling J.A. Henckels AG in Solingen in the field of process optimisation and development of new measurement methods. Prior to his position as laboratory manager, he worked for Brabender in the New Technologies department as a system architect since 2019. “I am looking forward to being back in the lab, improving equipment, having customer contact and being a problem solver. During my scientific career, I also worked a lot in labs, so for me it’s like coming home again”, sums up Dr Matthias Mayser.
Strengthening cooperation between technology and laboratory
As a system architect at Brabender, Mayser was heavily involved in the design and process optimisation of technical development. “I would like to use the knowledge from the technology of my previous job in the future and strengthen the cooperation between the technology and the laboratory. This will allow us to shorten development time and respond to new requests more quickly than if we were to look at the two areas separately”, Mayser emphasises.
“Good service is important”
Christian Witt was previously responsible for service at Brabender Messtechnik GmbH & Co. KG, which was integrated into Brabender GmbH at the beginning of 2021. After working in sales for a year, focusing on the portfolio of the incorporated sister company, Christian Witt took over Customer Service at Brabender at the beginning of 2022. “I like the new position as Service Manager because I have a technical affinity and appreciate the variety of devices at Brabender.” Witt already acquired technical knowledge during his studies: “I studied physics and thus combine technical know-how with experience in sales and service. Good service is very important to me because it generates customer confidence and that is the best business card as well as advertising for a company”, Witt summarises.
