Invitation to the seminar “Plant-based Food – Extrusion & Analytics as success factors for your product development” on 23/24 May, 2023

A joint event of NETZSCH-Gerätebau and Brabender

The companies NETZSCH-Gerätebau and Brabender are offering a two-day seminar with a practical part on the topic of plant-based food – extrusion & analytics.

The world’s population is growing steadily, and with it the challenge for the food industry to secure its food supply in a sustainable manner. As an alternative to animal products, food from plant protein sources is considered to be an essential part of the global food supply.

We invite you to an exciting event on Tuesday, May 23 and Wednesday, May 24, 2023. You can expect
a balance between science and practice with interesting presentations from representatives of the two organizing companies, as well as guest lectures and practical experiments with various
devices and materials.

The number of participants in this seminar is limited. The official registration deadline is May 15, 2023.
The event will take place under the hygiene regulations in force on the date. For this we will inform you in advance of the seminar.

About the organizers of the seminar

NETZSCH-Gerätebau GmbH

NETZSCH-Gerätebau GmbH is a world leader in a high-tech niche area with measuring instruments for thermal analysis and rheology. Our instruments are used in laboratories and production facilities around the world for the examination of raw materials through to finished products as part of research and development and quality assurance.

They are used for material characterization at the highest level for almost all materials. In the area of plant-based foods, for example, we measure the denaturation of proteins using a Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), the thermal stability of proteins using thermogravimetry (TG), and gain information about near-process conditions using the capillary rheometer.

Brabender GmbH & Co. KG

With high-quality Brabender measurement and process technology, the processing properties of plant-based food raw materials can be reliably analyzed and innovative substitute products for foods of animal origin can be developed on a laboratory scale.

Develop new products, recipes, methods or processes – with little material and time input. Achieve your optimal result by varying the material composition as well as the process parameters. Whether quality control or development – Brabender supports you in solving your application technology challenges with suitable products and services. With the TwinLab-F 20/40 laboratory extruder you can process raw materials, for example protein sources from pulses, and achieve the desired product properties such as texturization. For raw material analysis, Brabender offers measuring instruments for the determination of rheological properties (e. g. the Farinograph and the ViscoQuick) as well as for moisture testing.
