Moisture Determination
Moisture is an important measuring value for the characterization of both food and non-food materials. Apart from that, many standard methods for testing the quality of grain and flour are based on certain specified moisture values. Therefore, moisture determination of a sample material is an important step in sample preparation. For this purpose, Brabender® offers the fully automatic Moisture Tester MT-C.
NEW-Brabender® Moisture Tester MT-C
Individual and serial determination of the water and solvent content of organic and inorganic materials...quick, reliable, direct, reproducible
The fully automatic MT-C is the state-of-the-art version of the proven drying oven principle. Simple, menu-controlled operation via a touch-panel PC with Windows CE, short measuring times, and reliable and reproducible results meet all demands of modern laboratory and production control. For communication, there is a USB port and a network (ethernet) connection.
As the drying oven method is a fundamental method, there are no problems with calibration.
Up to 10 samples can be dried simultaneously in the drying chamber. Save time - due to the continuous air flow within the
drying chamber, the drying process takes considerably less time than in a conventional drying oven without ventilation.
The special construction of the electronic high-precision balance permits direct weighing of the sample both outside the drying chamber before drying and within the drying chamber immediately after drying while the samples are still hot. The fully automatic MT-C offers great operating comfort and saves time by:
• automatic positioning of turntable when introducing the samples
• fully automatic re-weighing after drying
The advantages of this construction are evident:
• no weighing errors
• no time-consuming cooling of the samples in an exsiccator before weighing
• minimization of operator faults
• high precision and reproducibility with an accuracy of < 0.1 % up to 100 % moisture
Documentation of the drying tests is made easy through connection of a printer to the standard USB port.
