Farinograph-E

Farinograph®-E

The logical successor of the Farinograph®:

fully electronic measurement

computer-controlled operation

variable speed

compact design

The Farinograph®-E uses the same measuring mixers (300-g and 50-g) as the Farinograph® plus the small 10-g mixer. Instead of the mechanical balance system, the Farinograph®-E uses a modern electronic system for high-precision torque measurement.

Test parameters can easily be entered from the computer keyboard. The measuring data are transmitted via a USB-port directly to the PC for evaluation. On-line displays keep you informed of progress through the test.

The variable speed considerable enlarge the application range of the Farinograph®-E:

  1. First of all, the Farinograph®-E can, of course, be used for conventional Farinograph® tests in compliance with international standards. For this application, the default speed value is 63 min-1.
  2. Due to variable speed, the standard Farinograph® test can now also be run with increased mixer speed in order to reduce the measuring time and/or to intensify mixing so as to adapt the tests to production conditions. In research and development, tests can be run with variable mixing intensity and work input to the dough.

Standards:

AACC - Standard 54 - 72

ICC - Standard 115 / 1

ISO - 5530 - 1

Farinograph-E Software

User-optimized 32-bit software under Windows 98/2000 or XP

The comfortable 32-bit software allows real multitasking. Several tests can be run and controlled on various instruments (Farinograph®, Extensograph®, etc.) while texts or spreadsheets can be edited - all at a time from a single computer. Enter your test parameters from your computer keyboard, store them in MS Access database format together with the measuring data and results, and easily use them in other applications like word processing programs or spreadsheets.

Definition of reference curves with tolerance limits makes it easy to check already during the test whether a material meets the specifications for a certain application or not.

A powerful correlation program compares diagrams and results of up to 10 tests with each other. Test conditions and results are contrasted in tables and evaluated statistically for quickly assessing trends or irregularities.

Additional software packages enable programming of speed profiles, e.g. slow premixing and increased mixing speed during the test. This supplementary software can also evaluate diagrams that do not have the  typical shape of a standard Farinogram.Optionally, the dough temperature during the test can be measured and recorded as well.
